Channel Islands: AXA PPP International upgrades Islands Health Plan

Channel_islands_locationAXA PPP International offer customers 4 different bands of cover – Core, Classic, Premier and Ultimate. These all include cover for Channel Islands, Isle of Man, UK and Europe. As well as relative levels of hospital treatment, out-patient treatment, transport and cancer cover.

As of 1st April 2016 clients based in the Channel Islands and looking for Private Medical Insurance will also be offered the options of including an extended hospital network. This includes treatment in the UK and options for access to central London Hospitals. The changes also include options to build a more personalised plan and add in dental and/or optical cover if you are on Core, Classic and Premier. With the Ultimate policy the optical and dental options are always included.
AXA PPP International have also included transportation to the UK from the Channel Islands for clients on their Premier and Ultimate plans who are receiving cancer treatment when the relevant medication is not available locally. There is also a ‘Fast Track Appointments service’ where clients will be able to make an appointment with a specialist based in the UK.

Tom Wilkinson, managing director of AXA PPP International said: “As well as treatment on the Islands themselves, we understand that there will be times when members may need access to a medical facility on the mainland, and whether that’s in the UK or Europe, the choice is theirs.” (http://www.covermagazine.co.uk/cover/news/2453459/axa-ppp-international-upgrades-islands-healthplan?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=CV.All.A.LU_15&utm_source=CV.DCM.Live_Updates#)
Changes in the premium can be influenced by adding in an excess. When claiming you only have to pay the excess once per person per membership year. The higher the excess, the lower the premium price.
